PrintFTO IKON Uses Diamond Simulator in Egelsbach, Germany
At the end of last year, IKON, a renowned German aviation training academy and registered FTO, opened their new branch as Diamond Brilliance Flight Center in the Diamond Terminal at the Egelsbach Airport (EDFE). For their pilot training there, IKON uses the DA42NG Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) from Diamond Simulation which has received qualification according to JAR-FSTD A. Commenting on this, Dr. Kotzor, Managing Director of IKON, said: “The following aspects were crucial for the choice of the Diamond FSTD: state-of-the-art avionics, great attention to detail which shows absolutely no difference to the real aircraft, and the outstanding visual system corresponding to Full Flight Simulator standard. Furthermore, the maintenance contracts concluded with Diamond Simulation that I have been familiar with for years have proven attractive for us”. Aside from PPL-, CPL- and ATPL-training, IKON has successfully been offering high-quality pilot training for years as a registered FTO.
